Don’t you love when you’re confused about song lyrics, and then you find out what the lyric actually is and it makes sense?
There’s a song from Next to Normal (what else?) called Superboy and the Invisible Girl. Basically the girl is singing about how she feels ignored and her brother gets all the attention.
